Government of India & Government of Bihar Policies 

The ministries of the Government of India have come up with various schemes from time to time. These schemes can be either Central, state specific or joint collaboration between the Centre and the states. The sole purpose of these schemes is to provide good governance to the people so that their living status can be improved. Likewise all the districts of India, Sarkari Yojana at Araria & Purnia district of Bihar are also available.

Central Government Policies:

• Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana – Urban (PMAY-U)- It is an ambitious affordable housing scheme of central Government. Citizens can apply for home through online applications through Common Service Centers.

• Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana (PMJDY)-Under Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana (PMJDY), any individual above the age of 10 years and does not have a bank account can open a bank account without depositing any money. The scheme was mostly targeted to the people belonging to the Below Poverty Line but is beneficial to everyone who does not have a bank account.

• Pradhan Mantri Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana (PMSSY)- Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana is an ambitious small deposit savings scheme for a girl child. She can withdraw 50% of the amount for marriage or higher study purposes after completing 18 years as per her choice.

• Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana (PMMY)- It was launched with the purpose to provide funding to the non-corporate small business sector.

• Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY)- It provides  insurance cover to Rabi and Kharif crops and financial support to farmers in case of damage of crops.

• Pradhan Mantri Gram Sinchai Yojana ( PMGSY)- The scheme is aimed to attract investments in irrigation system at field level, develop and expand cultivable land in the country, enhance ranch water use in order to minimize wastage of water.

Facilities from other central government policies like Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Yojonaye, Pradhan Mantri Yan Aushadhi Yojonaye etc. are also available in Araria & Purnia districts.

State Government Policies:

• Shauchalaya Nirman, Ghar ka Samman: It is a new scheme launched by the Bihar Government to transform Bihar to a clean state.
• Kushal Yuva Program: Under this scheme, the state government would offer skill training to the youth.

Mukhyamantri Swayam Sahayata Bhatta Yojana: It is a new initiative of state government of Bihar. Under this initiative, state government would assist the unemployed youth to find a job and help them financially.
